The Council plans are not in the best interests of the children living in Whitchurch. It would endandger their chances of having a place in a local school as we’d be moving from a 3 and a half form entry to 2 form entry – not enough capacity. The out of catchment figures don’t stack up and the land was sold would be lost for ever. I don’t want investment at the expense of losing school land or educational opportunities for local shildren in local schools.

Is this the same school that sold a large parcel of land a while back to outside developers for the 5-side business?

Why has my comment been deleted? only asked if this was the same school that sold land for profit to a 5 a side company?

Sorry, comment was still sitting in inbox waiting for approval. The selling of land is no longer an issue as the Council have shelved that proposal.
The school did not sell off any land, it has been leased, which brings money in to the school and provides a much better facility for the pupils than the waste land that was previously there.
